Consol Stationery Drive

Former President Nelson Mandela said: "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Miss Earth South Africa, in association with Consol, invites you to help change the world one pencil and a dream at a time.

A simple request, all we ask is that you join the 2012 back to school Stationery Drive, which this year aims to distribute 10 000 packs to disadvantaged school countrywide. Every year shortages in education force pupils to share stationary, with 40 learners using the same class pencil in poorer areas; an obvious obstacle to a healthy learning environment.

Our per pupil Wish List which we hope you can help supply – in part or in full – includes:

1 box of coloured pencils + 3 blue pens + 3 black pens + lead pencils + Sharpener + Eraser Pencil case + Highlighter +Pritt glue + Scissors + Box of tissues = 1 Stationery Pack.
