Green fingers

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Completion Time: 30 Minutes

We’re putting a crafty twist on Garden Month with this gorgeous terrarium in a jar. It’s a great decoration for your outdoor area, and a nice way to add a touch of green to your desk, too. It doesn't require too much attention, so it’s perfect for first-time gardeners!

Materials Needed

Amount Material
- Your favourite succulents
- Succulent soil
- A Consol jar (the size is up to you, but make sure it’s big enough for your succulents)
- Small rocks and pebbles

  1. Fill the bottom of the jar with pebbles. Start with the bigger rocks, and then fill in gaps with the smaller rocks and pebbles.
  2. Add soil. Your rock layer and soil layer should be roughly the same height.
  3. Now it’s time to plant your succulents. Start with the tallest in the middle and plant around it.
  4. Finish it off with any extra rocks or pebbles for decoration.
  5. Show off your creation on Facebook or Instagram. Don’t forget to tag us!
